ROLE
We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Developer to join our team and to develop the company business in the United States.
In close collaboration with corporate team, you will bring your strategic vision of development regarding commercial, financial, and lobbying actions.
You will draft our technical offers and frame our project development capacities by relying on our strong technical know-how. You will play a major role in a wide variety of business issues within the framework of an agile start-up in rapid development. You will be responsible in developing a client portfolio and generate significant revenue within your territory.
The Business Developer is therefore at the same time an entrepreneur, a salesman, and a financial analyst with outstanding communications skills.
MISSIONS
Your missions as Business Developer at TLS Geothermics:

  • Prospect: identify leads and acquire new customers/partners; participate in tradeshows; identify the key people within the targeted companies; carry out proactive commercial prospecting, set up B2B meetings, and ensure a close follow up.
  • Write business proposals: draft commercial offers (technical and financial), build projects’ business plans, conduct commercial negotiations upon contract signature, manage contracts, search the right source of financing.
  • Manage relationships with partners, prospects, industry-related groups.
  • Represent the company within national geothermal associations, Federal Government and at any other institutions at the state level.
  • Preach for deep geothermal energy: carry out lobbying actions (preparation, communication, actions).
  • Participate in the strategic choices of the company with the management.

You will work in close collaboration with leadership management and the board members, as well as the geoscience engineers to ensure a good understanding of our offers/solutions (features, advantages and benefits). You will stay informed on the geothermal market trends and growth opportunities.

The successful development of this scope can be a career accelerator for the candidate with the addition of the business team and project managers under his supervision.

Candidate profile and Career path
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or/and Business
  • 5 years minimum experience as a business developer
  • Significant experience in the energy or mining sectors (O&G, renewables) strongly preferred
  • Proven green-tech evangelist
