Identifying the most promising areas for geothermal exploration, free from the surface empirical data (hot springs and wells data) is a key to revealing the vast potential of hidden hydrothermal systems. For that, DIG4GEO uses a vast amount of parameters through robust databases, including geology, geophysics, geomechanics. Years of experience and a strong theoretical and conceptual background of what makes a geothermal system viable (heat, fluid and drains) for generating a geothermal resource, are used to select the most relevant parameters for model training.

Fault Mapping
DIG4GEO newly includes a deep learning tool to generate fault maps.
Since faults are the main drains in hydrothermal geothermal systems, having an accurate and complete structural model is essential for exploration. Numerous databases and geological maps exist, but their resolution and the quality of fault mapping is not always homogeneous. DIG4GEO now includes a deep learning tool for generating fault maps.
